OK, so you've got to the perfect spot at last. You've found the beach where the waves are being shaped perfectly by the wind, and the sound of them crashing onto shore is spurring you on. You can't get into your wetsuit fast enough!

However, you find yourself faced with a dilemma. Do you get changed in the car park so you can throw your clothes into the car ready for later? Or, do you get changed on the beach, as you have already walked for ages through the dunes and you just want to get in the sea?

Whichever option you go for, you then have to decide how you are going to get changed while protecting your modesty! We have seen many different techniques over the years, and they include:

The Car Technique

Many people make the mistake of thinking the easiest thing to do is just get changed in their car. After all, nobody will be able to see you then, right? This usually happens in winter to be fair, as the call of the hot fan lulls people into a false sense of security. However, if you have ever tried to get changed in a car you quite quickly realise that this technique only works if you are really supple and can get your leg behind your head with ease!

The Tee Technique

If you are one of those people who doesn't mind if people see your bum, but you want to prevent them seeing what's in front, then the tee technique might be the one for you. Pretty easy to undertake, this technique is basically you keeping your booicore tee on to hide what you don't want anyone else to see. The slight problem with this technique though is that sometimes the tee is not long enough and you may need to use your hand to hide things as well, which can be awkward when you are trying to pull your wetsuit on. It might just slow you down.

The Towel Technique

A great technique for the more bashful amongst you, wrapping your towel around your waist is a great way to hide your bits from everyone else. There is a skill to this though, in order to make sure the towel is firmly fixed in place and doesn't fall down at the first movement! Again, you can keep a hand on the towel to make sure it is secure, but this will seriously slow down your changing time, and you may miss the perfect wave.

So, what's the solution?...The Booicore Technique!

The booicore changing poncho! These are crafted in order to cover the most intimate parts of your body perfectly, and also offer you awesome thermal insulation and excellent absorption. They also leave both of your arms free, meaning it is a doddle to get changed.

Hope this helps guys. If you have any tips for getting changed, then please let us know.
